It is exposed to West to North swells. Depending on the direction of the swell, the waves can be bigger up or down the beach. So choose wisely where to surf depending on your surfing level. When the waves are over head, you get mostly close outs and strong currents to make it across the white water. There is a visual effect that waves look smaller then they really are.
The area before the bungalows can get crowded with the surf schools. Beyond the bungalows is less crowded. Nudity is also normal around here, so dont be surprised to see top less bikinis and maybe even someone surfing naked.
